History of Faith Alliance Church
Faith Alliance Church began as a Bible study and fellowship group that originally met in the Historic Madison Auditorium. In July 1967, the church was started under the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Reverend Paul Sterneman (1967 – 1979) moved to Madison to be the church’s first pastor. In October 1968, construction began and was completed in February 1969. Construction of the addition was undertaken in June 1973. Plans for its dedication were delayed due to extensive damage caused by a tornado in the spring of 1974. Reconstruction was completed in the fall of 1974. Due to the Lord's blessing, we were able to double our current facilities in 2001.
